Position Summary

Responsible for: safety, accepted levels of quality/quantity of productivity, and actions of subordinates. Represent management and the company.


Duties And Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL:

  • Understand 6S and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Assign projects and duties.
  • Understand the company policies on operating standards, safety, maintenance, quality, etc.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft: review and approve work hours and other payroll issues, navigation for PIDs & WOs, routers & MSR's, Enovia/PLM: review ECR, ECO, NCR, B.O.M, drawings, high jump: knowledge of scanning and codes, Microsoft: Word, Excel, Viso, Power Point
  • Maintain communications: Maintain good working relations, coordinate/ integrate with shop personnel, write reports, maintain competence and training records.
  • Understand the principles and requirements of the Americas Region quality manual.
  • Understand the requirements and acceptance criteria of the Factory Acceptance Tests. (F.A.T.)
  • Demonstrate understanding of CI fundamentals as taught by Oceaneering Senior Management.Assure preventative maintenance of tools and machines.
  • Ability to read, understand and correct engineering drawings, schematics, and an electronic BOMs.
  • Establishes and maintains parts and supplies associated with all assemblies and sub-assemblies.
  • Capable to work as a Level 5 Technician or higher.
  • Implement and maintain processes and procedures.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • 12 months of formal mechanical and hydraulic training and 12 months of formal electronic and electronics training, or a minimum of 3 years' work experience in related field; or, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  • Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).

PREFERRED:

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Trade School, Associates degree or Bachelor's degree.

Additional Information

WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is considered SHOP WORK which is characterized as follows.

  • Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night.
  • Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplace.
  • Work surface is stable (flat).

  • Climb stairs/ladders, stand, balance, stoop, squat, reach, and lift/carry objects.
  • Twist body, sit with back supported, head forward/flexed, head tilted/rotated, and work with arms extended overhead.

  • Lift up to 10 pounds.
  • Wear PPE protection for body, vision, and hearing protection.
