The Role:

The Vice President of Global Manufacturing maximizes the efficiency, profitability, and sustainability of the manufacturing operations while meeting our Wholesale and Retail customer demands and achieving the company's strategic objectives. They are responsible for the manufacturing facilities and teams that produce +5 million pairs of glasses (frames + lenses and frames) annually. Their decisions influence everything from product quality and cost to supply chain efficiency and environmental sustainability. This executive will lead the manufacturing engineering team through the Capital Expense budgeting, planning, execution, and optimization processes.

Job Specifications:



  • Responsible for the investment of ~$200M annually within seven Global facilities. P&L line responsibility for Manufacturing Cost % of Revenue.
  • Responsible for the Global Manufacturing Strategy to maximize investment dollars through efficient production strategies capitalizing on people, process, and technologies.
  • Optimize production schedules, inventory levels, and resource allocation to meet customer demand while minimizing costs.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to ensure product excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures across the manufacturing operations.
  • Determine the required production capacity to meet future demand and investing in necessary equipment and facilities.
  • Build and develop a high-performance manufacturing team with the skills and expertise to drive operational excellence.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards to protect the company and consumers.
  • Implement initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of manufacturing operations



Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, industrial and/or mechanical engineering or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of experience with clear progression to senior leadership/ management roles, leading a motivating cross-functional interdisciplinary teams to achieve strategic goals.
  • Demonstrate a broad understanding of corporate functions outside area of expertise.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across the organization with key internal and external business leaders, partners, suppliers, and customers.
  • Ability to apply a variety of strategic frameworks to analyze problems and to guide and develop solutions.
  • Ability to understand the impact of technology on processes and structure.
  • Deep understanding of global supply chain management and logistics
  • Expertise in international trade and customs regulations
  • Proficiency in utilizing manufacturing management systems and technologies.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Deep understanding of global markets and consumer behavior
  • Strong financial management operating experience and knowledge of business acumen to include investment and budget management.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and forecasting
  • Strong negotiation and organization skills
