Clinical Supervisor- OTP- Per Diem

Horizon health is seeking a Clinical Supervisor for our BRAND NEW opioid clinic called Foundations Health in Petersburg, VA The OTP Clinical Supervisor is responsible for collaborating with the Program Director to maintain and develop the clinical staff as well as promoting the clinical integrity of the program. Primary responsibilities include providing direct clinical services, providing clinical supervision to the therapists, developing and maintaining a robust program schedule, and routine review of clinical services documented in the patient record. The OTP Clinical Supervisor develops and implements clinical services that are in alignment with regulatory standards as well as best-practice guidelines. Clinical support and supervision are a primary function of this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Clinical supervision must be documented and provided by an individual who has the knowledge, skills, and abilities required by the population served.
  • The LCAS/CCS facilitates a weekly face-to-face (may be virtual if it is audiovisual and interactive) individual or group supervision meeting to ensure that the planned support interventions are provided; to allow the staff to briefly discuss the status of all client receiving services; problem-solve emerging issues; and plan approaches to intervene and prevent crises.
  • The LCAS/CCS monitors the delivery of OTP services to ensure the interventions are provided effectively to help the client restore personal, social, daily living, and community skills; develop natural supports; manage their recovery; and reduce crises.
  • Provide as a group or with individual staff supervision or support as needed to address specific concerns or challenges.
  • Create supervision plans with staff to be implemented and documented in each staff member's personnel file.
  • Conduct chart audits to ensure that clinical documentation meets state and federal requirements.
  • Maintains active involvement with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers and develops processes to enhance patient retention and flow.
  • Ensures the implementation of program orientation for patients.
  • Maintains a patient caseload proportionate to the number of counselors supervised.
  • Completes, monitors, and ensures the completion of assessments, treatment plans, continuing care, and discharge plans in accordance with policy and procedure, specific to the needs of the person served.
  • Develops and maintains clinical staff who are competent to provide the clinical services.
  • Identifies and addresses individual and departmental clinical training needs.
  • Functions as a resource to other OTP staff on clinical issues, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work or a clinically related mental health and/ or human services field required.
  • LCAS and CCS required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience providing addictions treatment required
  • Experience providing clinical supervision preferred
