Remote position with the ability to travel to our NJ and NY locations up to 25% of the time.

Position Summary:

The Business Analyst - ISO Circular support will be responsible for ongoing Functional analysis, support and requirements gathering for periodic ISO circular updates for all of GNY's commercial LOBs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze applications, elicit requirements, support development and testing team on functional side of the systems.
  • Manage essential process documentation of functional and technical solutions by collaborating with business and IT to gather business requirements, provide expertise and guidance and help execute plans to enhance business capability, achieve results.
  • Analyze ISO ERC content, discuss observations with business, identify and establish approach for adopting ISO circulars
  • Process and Procedure analysis and mapping.
  • Analyze and interpret ISO circulars and their impact on rating, policy forms, and underwriting rules.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and Guidewire developers to implement necessary system changes.
  • Ensure compliance with state and regulatory requirements by integrating ISO updates into Guidewire PolicyCenter.
  • Conduct impact assessments for ISO updates and provide recommendations for system modifications.
  • Work closely with Guidewire configuration teams to test and validate changes before deployment.
  • Document business requirements, workflows, and configuration changes in alignment with ISO circular updates.
  • Provide support for UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and assist in troubleshooting system issues.
  • Stay updated on ISO regulatory changes and industry best practices to enhance system functionality.
  • Create and maintain JIRA user story cards and documentations in SharePoint.
  • Implement training and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate and Support User Acceptance Testing and User Training.
  • Coordinate and Support and UAT efforts and defect management.
  • Participate in facilitation and requirements elicitation sessions


Qualifications
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years professional experience as a business analyst in P&C commercial lines.
  • Experience with Guidewire Product Content Analyzer is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience with ISO commercial lines product offerings - coverage, rating, rules, and forms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Experience in writing User stories and features required.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Familiarity with JSON, XML, APIs, and Guidewire integrations.
  • Technical proficiency, with the ability to understand data flows and the flow between complex, integrated systems required.
  • Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter (configuration, rating, underwriting rules, and forms processing).
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data analysis tools to evaluate the impact of ISO changes.
  • Strong understanding of P&C insurance products.
  • Experience collaborating with Business, Development and QA teams required.
  • Certifications such as Guidewire Business Analyst, AINS, or CPCU are a plus.


Skills:

  • Proficient in working directly with business stakeholders to understand business processes, gather & document requirements to implement ISO circular updates.
  • Have good organizational, troubleshooting, and communication skills, both written and verbal, in both technical and non-technical forums.
  • Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success in the business of property and casualty insurance marketplace, commercial product offerings, advisory (ISO/NCCI/AAIS) agencies, regulatory and compliance agencies and related business functions.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO circulars, rate changes, and regulatory updates.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to business users.
  • * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility to meet continuously changing priorities.
  • Able to work independently.


The salary range for this role is$81,100-$150,100. The listed annual salary range posted for this position is subject to change and may vary depending on performance, education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, demonstrated proficiency in the competencies required for the role and business needs. Base pay is just one component of GNY's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
