Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Technician to join our integration business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Perform low voltage cable installation, cable management, cable terminations, device installation, and other assigned project duties as required
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair systems and/or equipment as necessary
  • Produce accurate documentation for the project as required including system commissioning reports, Test Reports, As builts, system certification, etc.
  • Provide daily project status updates, as required, and communication to the Project Management team
  • Summarize, report and present non-compliant attributes of a project, site, or system
  • Think clearly and logically to make accurate decisions based on personal and professional judgement and verifiable criteria
  • Ability to independently lead/ manage medium to large sized projects
  • Ability to read and interpret project scopes, one lines, floor plans, submittals, specifications, test reports and other related project documentation
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills, especially working in occupied and sensitive environments
  • Proficient in cabling best practices- running, supporting, and terminating category rated and multiconductor cabling
  • Experience/certified with Fire Stopping; must be able to fire-stop any penetrations made or found
  • General understanding of computers and basic Microsoft Windows Applications
  • General understanding of networking concepts (wired and wireless)
  • Demonstrate general skills required to configure and troubleshoot device connectivity (LAN and Internet access)
  • Proficient with low voltage crimp tools, testing tools (meters, toners, etc.) and the use of other construction related tools
  • Ability to demonstrate persistence, tactfulness, and responsibility; maintain silence regarding confidential information; make decisions based on personal judgement and verifiable criteria; deal effectively with people in actual job duties beyond giving and receiving instruction
  • Demonstrate proficient skills to provide competent customer service using active listening and empathy during various interactions (i.e., in-person, phone, email, and chat)
  • Must be self-motivated and work well with others in a team environment
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines and work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Ensure quality control for assigned task
  • Clean up work area daily


Basic Qualifications:



  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience or training on manufacturer systems installations; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years' experience within the fire alarm industry
  • Driver's license with clean driving record


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience with Fire Alarm and Nurse Call
  • Security Certification
