Position Summary Performs diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with policies, values and mission of the organization. Responsible for commonly performed echocardiography procedures with consistent proficiency. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound or cardiovascular ultrasound program required. Current and valid ARDMS/CCI registry in Adult Echocardiography required. Maintains current and valid CPR certification. Experience Newly hired recent graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound or cardiovascular ultrasound program. Skills Ability to absorb new information quickly and translate into daily clinical or administrative practice. Set individual priorities relating to echo studies and routine patient care. Combines critical thinking and analytical skill to solve routine problems. Effective oral, written and interactive skills. Detailed orientation. Cooperative team player. Comfortable in a fast-paced, fluid environment. Able to quickly adapt and jump into situations.
