Engineering- Project Technician

Location: Cape Cod Space Force Station, Sagamore, MA, United States

We are looking for a highly motivated Entry-Level Engineering Technician to join our team. In this role, you will directly support the Engineering Manager by updating and maintaining as-built drawings, assisting with construction project management tasks, and ensuring project documentation is organized and up to date. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a background in engineering or drafting to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, growing environment.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Drawing Management:

    • Review, update, and modify facility drawings using AutoCAD.
    • Organize and maintain drawing databases, including redline and as-built drawings, warranties, and equipment specifications.


  • Project Support:

    • Assist the Engineering Manager in various construction project management tasks such as ordering equipment, managing project timelines, scheduling meetings, and maintaining accurate project documentation.


  • Proposal Preparation:

    • Prepare project proposals, including cost estimates, documentation, and closeout requirements.


  • Contract and Agreement Support:

    • Assist with Project Support Agreements (PSAs) related to construction activities and contract compliance.


  • Work Coordination:

    • Facilitate work requests and coordinate impacts and scheduling with outside contractors.


  • Real Property Accountability:

    • Maintain and track accountability for real property on the installation.




General Duties:



  • Adhere to the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and other project requirements.
  • Perform general support tasks, including housekeeping, safety and environmental practices, requisitioning parts, maintaining logs, and complying with security policies.
  • Complete required training, participate in exercises, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.


Qualifications:



  • Education & Experience:

    • 1-2 years of experience in engineering, drafting, or a technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
    • Competency in AutoCAD is required.


  • Required Skills:

    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
    • Ability to work independently while being an effective team player.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.




Clearance Requirements:



  • Currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Security clearance eligibility may be discussed during the interview phase.
  • Employment and start date is contingent upon the candidate receiving the required US DoD issued interim security clearance.
