Add to favorites Favorited View favorites Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $53,500 - Midpoint: $66,900 (Salaried E8) Department/Organization: 208108 - CCHS Social Work Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm; some evenings and weekends Job Summary: The Social Worker II plans, coordinates, and delivers moderate-complexity clinical services to clients. Additional Department Summary: Provides social services to clients, including assessment and consultation, crisis intervention, family support, patient education, referrals, and other relevant clinical services for the Social Work department at the College of Community Health Sciences (CCHS). Oversees daily program functions and case management activities at University Medical Center (UMC), including full-spectrum outpatient care to residents and communities in west Alabama. Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Four (4) years of progressively complex social work practice experience in individual and family counseling and/or case management. Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Alabama in good standing, Skills and Knowledge: Strong organizational and program support skills with knowledge in the areas of behavioral health and social services. Demonstrated skills in clinical decision-making. Ability to exercise discretion, diplomacy, and tact in patient/staff interactions; willingness to learn and consistently deliver patient-centered high-quality, customer-friendly service. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of protected health information and follow HIPAA and/or FERPA regulations at all times. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in provision of therapeutic services. Teaching experience with a social work academic program including field education instruction.
