Manager, Corporate Accounting

About the Role

We are looking for a professional to manage the workflow of direct reports in consolidating the Company's global financial reporting and closing processes. This role involves providing accounting support to subsidiaries, ensuring accurate financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP and the Company's Uniform Accounting Principles. You will oversee the global financial reporting and consolidation processes, review subsidiary financials for executive management, streamline procedures, and supervise critical accounting functions. Additionally, you will guide and train staff while supporting Senior Managers and Executives.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the completion of worldwide financial reporting consolidationto ensure accuracy in accordance with US GAAP and the Company's uniform accounting principles.

  • Oversee reviews of financial results submitted monthlyby individual countries/subsidiaries and collaborate with local subsidiary Finance Directors and their accounting teams.

  • Approve and oversee top-level journal entriesas necessary.

  • Manage changes to the global general ledger chart of accounts.

  • Lead various ad-hoc projectsbased on department initiatives.

  • Present monthly and quarterly financial resultsto executive management.

  • Conduct fraud detection testingthrough journal entry testing, onsite balance sheet reviews, and substantive testing, supporting external and internal audits with reports, analysis, and explanations as requested.

  • Oversee documentation of departmental policies and proceduresand supervise adherence to these policies.

  • Communicate closing deadlinesto worldwide accounting and finance personnel.

  • Manage the worldwide reserve policy.

Other Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Additional duties as assigned; meets attendance and punctuality standards.

What We're Looking For

Experience:

  • 5to 8 years of relevant work experience, with 1 to 3 years of experience directly managing/supervising employees.

Education & Certifications:

  • Master's/Postgraduate Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.

  • CPA, CIA, or CFE license preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills to convey necessary information clearly.

  • Ability to create and conduct formal presentations.

  • Effective interaction with all levels of management.

  • Skilled negotiation and persuasive communication abilities.

  • Strong multi-cultural interpersonal skills.

  • Leadership skills with a proactive approach to creating new ideas.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a focus on task completion.

  • Ability to work constructively under stress and pressure.

  • Commitment to maintaining social, ethical, and organizational standards.

  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Strong relationship-building skills.

  • Sensitivity to the needs and concerns of others.

  • Basic proficiency in relevant computer system applications.

Note: This role is primarily remote; however, we prefer candidates who reside near the Clearwater office (50 mile radius). This preference is aimed at fostering a hybrid work environment that enhances engagement and provides more learning opportunities with the team.
