Position Description

QIAGEN Genomic Services Group, with laboratories at QIAGEN's headquarters in Hilden, Germany and the USA, provides high-quality, customized sample-to-insight services to customers: From nucleic acid isolation to qPCR, NGS and bioinformatics. You will work in an agile, interdisciplinary team with a unique range of competencies.

Your task will be:

- Sample registration and inspection

- DNA and RNA isolation from various biological materials

- Quality control of isolated nucleic acids (OD measurements, Agilent, qPCR)

- NGS library preparation and quality control (qPCR, Agilent/TapeStation)

- Planning and execution of the analyses, documentation of the results

- General laboratory activities e.g. laboratory care, equipment maintenance and material orders

- Perform repetitive pipetting.


Position Requirements

- M.S or B.S degree in Biology

- 1-5 years experience in a laboratory setting is preferred

- Molecular biology knowledge

- Experience with nucleic acid isolation, PCR, high throughput projects desirable

- Experiences with NGS required

- Experiences in working under ISO9001 or other QA environments desirable

- Good computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
