Job Title: Systems/Software Engineer
Location(s): Rancho Cordova, CA
Job Description:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess expert-level knowledge in various networking protocols and technologies, and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage complex network solutions.
- Configure and maintain BGP, OSPF, and Cisco routing protocols.
- Manage Cisco/Meraki switching and Wi-Fi solutions.
- Oversee Cisco Nexus Data Center switching.
- Document network configurations and changes.
- Ensure network security and performance through proficient use of PaloAlto Firewalls and Global Protect.
- Implement and manage SD WAN solutions, with a preference for Cisco Viptella.
- Manage cloud networking, with a preference for Azure.
- Monitor and maintain network observability and performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in network engineering.
- Expert-level knowledge of BGP, OSPF, Cisco routing, Cisco/Meraki switching, Cisco/Meraki Wi-Fi, Cisco Nexus Data Center switching, and network documentation.
- Proficiency with PaloAlto Firewalls, PaloAlto Global Protect, SD WAN (Cisco Viptella preferred), cloud networking (Azure preferred), and network observability/monitoring.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, or equivalent.
- Experience with network automation tools.
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
