Position Title: CONCIERGE - New York City

Salary: $65000 - $70000

Job Summary

As a Concierge, you will establish a warm welcome and a professional atmosphere for prospective future IBM clients/business partners visiting this high profile IBM corporate location. You own the first impression, ensuring a professional, efficient and impactful experience for our guests, ensuring a memorable visit. Your attention to details is off the charts and you thrive on "wowing" our guests. Sound like you? Great. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the IBM team with the general planning and execution of on-premise events and engagements, including:
  • o Creating, printing, and hanging event signage
  • o Creating, printing and assembling name badge lanyards
  • o Organizing and tending to the lobby registration table for larger events
  • o Setting up meeting spaces with name card, notebook, pen, and other items deemed necessary
  • o Giving directions/ corralling guests/ opening doors, etc.
  • o Breaking down the space following an event (e.g. removing signage, shredding name cards, etc.)
  • Assist with broader day-to-day operations of the IBM space:
  • o Maintaining inventory for meeting room event supplies (pens, pads, gifts, etc.)
  • o Organizing overall supply closet
  • o Ensuring the IBM studio space remains in its default configuration between tours (e.g., replacing pulled-out chairs, signage, etc.)
  • Assist the IBM Team with other tasks related to the above as specific needs arise

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in similar guest service/concierge role (two to three years - hotel F&B, events, etc)
  • Demonstrated track record delivering an exceptional guest service experience, each and every day
  • Professionalism, positive attitude, noteworthy communications skills; you're organized, thorough, and self-directed.
  • A passion for exceptional service - you have a hospitable, "guest centric" mentality that infuses everything you do!
