STV is seeking a Quality Manager to join our Water/Wastewater team in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. This role will be working with our project management team on a variety of water related projects for the National Water Practice which extends from Texas/Oklahoma to the east coast. This position will give you the opportunity to be both in the local and regional offices. The individual would be involved in project level quality management as well as managing the quality program for the Practice.

The ideal candidate is an individual who is a self-starter, an excellent communicator, and possesses a vast understanding of water/wastewater facility design principles. This is an excellent role for a creative, self-motivated, and detail-oriented professional that enjoys being a part of a team environment to join our growing civil design team! The position will report to the Operations Director for the operating group.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist the team in developing and executing Quality Control Plans and Project Management Manuals for study, design and construction projects.
  • Interact with project management teams and engineers in other technical disciplines providing guidance on the STV corporate quality control program and assistance with staffing project design/QC teams. This may involve identification of the technical resources across the practice to complete the design or QC tasks
  • Coordinate with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget,
  • May participate as needed as a QC reviewer based on technical background but cannot perform QC and QA functions on the same project.
  • Assist with the support and development of drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports.
  • Directly coordinate with the client's quality staff or the contractor as needed to support quality initiatives and standards.
  • Lead Quality Meetings and train staff on quality best practices and STV policy and procedure.
  • Provide monthly reporting on deliverables, and associated quality reviews, including scheduling status, plans, and closure of quality reviews.
  • Perform audits for quality control processes.
  • Documentation of non-conformances and verification of corrections.

Additional Duties:

  • Project monitoring and reviews which include both financial performance, quality, safety and contracting concerns
  • Support of safety initiatives for the group which may include safety planning, reviews, or training.
  • Design consultation and support based on individuals personal experience
  • Project startup support to include project plan
  • Staff management and coordination

Qualifications/Required Skills:

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in all technical aspects of water facility design along with cost estimating.
  • Experience in project delivery software as follows: BIM/CAD, scheduling, document management/storage, Office suite, accounting/staff management systems, and cost estimating.
  • Strong inter-personal skills for client and other engineering discipline interaction
  • Written and verbal communications skills with the ability to convey complex concepts succinctly to project delivery team, developing engineers or executive management.
  • Quality Certification Preferred (CQA, CWI, CQE, CMQ/OE).
  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or construction management.
  • A PE license is preferred.

Compensation Range:

$125,724.10 - $167,632.13
