What Impact You Can Make

As the Sales Commissions Analyst, your primary responsibility is the calculation of monthly incentive commissions for all sales employees within our Varicent ICM platform while focusing on accuracy, completeness and consistency as defined in the commission plans. The ideal candidate is analytical, deadline driven, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multitask. You will work closely with finance, sales, and HR leaders to identify and resolve issues, as well as play a key role in providing analysis on sales performance that will assist in the development of the sales commission plans



  • Responsible for the upkeep of our commission application to ensure calculations of compensation plans and payments are accurate, complete, and in compliance with company policy
  • Work closely with Human Resources and Sales Operations to track changes in sales employee data for new hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, and retroactive changes
  • Be a key part of testing and implementing changes into Varicent when new plans are created or changes are needed, along with improving and developing reports and dashboards
  • Analyze requirements, plan, and design system tables/components using techniques, such as structured analysis, and data modelling.
  • Plan and execute appropriate testing (e.g. test plans, test cases, and test scripts) to comprehensively test assigned enhancements to business applications
  • Develop metrics and reports to assess the effectiveness of incentive designs through regular sales attainment relative to business results
  • Develop and assist with maintaining written process documents needed to manage all compensation-related processes effectively.
  • Assist with ad hoc commission data gathering, reporting, analysis, and other projects as needed.
  • Identify improvement opportunities for assigned work stream and work with key stakeholders to enable implementation of improvement opportunities


What You Bring




  • Bachelor's degree in a Quantitative field of study, Accounting, or Business Analysis is required or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working in a financial/analytical capacity in sales and/or commissions analyst role
  • Ability to communicate confidently, effectively and work cooperatively with staff at all levels of the organization, including internal and cross-departmental teams, consistently displaying a high level of professionalism
  • Must possess the ability to work with confidential reports and information with complete discretion
  • Experience in usings applications to process incentive compensation
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team to meet organizational objectives and deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, & PowerPoint, and the use of sales data reporting tools.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate and build relationships at all levels within the organization
  • Strong analytical abilities with solid attention to detail
  • Advanced degree
  • 4-5 years sales operations experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical device industry
  • Experience in Varicent
  • Regular and predictable work performance
  • Ability to work under fast-paced conditions
  • Ability to make decisions and use good judgment
  • Ability to prioritize various duties and multitask as required
  • Ability to successfully work with others
  • Additional duties as assigned
