We are seeking a Generated Gas Area Supervisor who embodies a safety-first mentality, takes ownership for getting results and can complete daily operating and maintenance activities. The Gen Gas Area Supervisor will oversee seven Gen Gas sites throughout Western PA and WV that produce nitrogen to dedicated pipeline customers. Reporting to the Area Supervisor will be three Supervisors covering plants in the PA and WV.

The incumbent will be responsible for leading the team in the region covering all aspects of the sites' operations. EH&S management, operational excellence, people development, cost management, productivity, and customer satisfaction are key areas of responsibility. This position also offers the opportunity to learn and be a part of the Creighton ASU and Butler SMR facilities.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Ability to build strong relationships with multiple support groups.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work alone as needed.
  • Willingness to support site supervisors off hours when needed (24x7).
  • Willingness to travel to each site on a routine basis.
  • A lead from the front attitude when unplanned plant events arise and getting involved in day-to-day operations as needed to assure peak performance.
  • Experience in project execution or project management is desirable.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Leadership of the Basic Safety Process and responsibility for the team's overall safety performance.
  • Providing oversight on the control and monitoring of the facilities to meet or exceed contract requirements.
  • Handling customer relations as the primary point of contact.
  • Providing hands on support to the Site Supervisors as needed.
  • Leading the investigation of unexpected plant events to determine the root cause and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of issues.
  • Assuring adherence to Air Products Operating procedures and Global Safety Standards.
  • Assisting Site Supervisors with SAP transactions for goods receipts, goods issues, and requisitions.
  • Ensuring sites compliance with Preventative Maintenance tasks, Compliance Management tasks, Red Border action items, etc.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

  • 5+ years of process plant operation/maintenance experience.
  • A Demonstrated commitment to supporting Environmental, Health, and Safety programs.
  • A self-starter with demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to develop talent.
