About the Role: As a strategic planning analyst in the Planning and Design Practice, you will collaborate with team members to conceptualize, deliver, and support our clients through today's ever-changing public health landscape. NYSTEC is a trusted program advisor, providing subject matter expertise and connecting the dots for our clients. You should have a diversity of strengths relating to public health, healthcare, and strategic planning. You should be able to document discussions of leaders across a large organization, identify themes to understand their priorities and needs, and facilitate team sessions to collaboratively develop solutions to address client needs (e.g., develop strategic recommendations). You should also be able to conduct external landscape analyses to identify themes among the findings and propose recommendations to address public health needs in New York State. Additionally, you will need to anticipate and communicate issues/risks, estimate their task duration, and present their findings. You will need to exhibit excellent writing, organizational, communication, and analytical skills to meet project goals. Serving as a strategic planning analyst, your day-to-day work as a consultant work will include planning tasks, proactively communicating when need assistance, documenting client feedback and decisions, and creating presentations and documentation to elicit the client's input and to address the client's needs. You will need to problem solve and take the first step on complex assignments, identify risks and issues, and present information clearly and concisely to inform team and client decisions.
