About the Role:

We have an exciting internship opportunity to support our Information Security team as an Intern - Information Security based in the USA. As a member of the Subway Cybersecurity team, this role will be at the forefront of a live-action, functioning security organization triaging real world incidents with real world consequences. This internship will offer the opportunity to learn cutting-edge processes, platforms, and principles under the mentorship of best-in-class staff. The task is to bring order to chaos and every day is guaranteed to be different!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Review tickets and triage as needed.
  • Learn process of triage/event management and different tasks for different security teams.
  • Pure L1 to start.
  • Process documentation.
  • Tool monitoring.
  • Workflow management.
  • Attends meetings, team huddles, and training sessions to gain exposure to day-to-day activities within the IT department.
  • Assist information security engineers and analysts in developing and documenting security procedures.
  • When necessary, assist the organization's incident response team in identifying, containing, eradicating, and recovering from cyber security incidents.
  • Assist information security team in researching and implementing processes or products selected to improve the organization's security posture.
  • Other assignments as required.


Qualifications (some examples listed below):



  • Student must be enrolled at a four (4) year college or university for the duration of the internship.
  • Undergraduate students must have completed at least minimum of 75 credit hours (rising Senior).
  • Overall cumulative minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) required.
  • Academic Majors: Pursuing degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field (candidates in non-IT degree paths may be considered if they possess exemplary technical skills and experience).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must be willing to be on site in Shelton during the internship.
  • Must demonstrate Aggressive curiosity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office skills required.
  • Basic knowledge of common network technologies (DNS, DHCP, IP addressing).
  • Previous participation in extra- curricular IT related clubs/activities, required.
  • Hands on computer lab experience (office, school, home) required.
  • Desire to learn and develop skillset.
    Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
