Regional Financial Controller- North America

We are currently seeking a Regional Financial Controller to join our Boart Longyear team in Salt Lake City, UT. As the Regional Financial Controller, you will oversee all accounting related activities and ensure compliance with internal processes and controls for the North America region. This Salt Lake City based role will be responsible for leading the accounting teams in the United States and Canada.

Duties and Responsibilities



  • Lead the NAM financial reporting, facilitating the close of the accounting books, and generating financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
  • Prepare and review month-end journal entries and account reconciliations to confirm accounting within the region complies with company accounting policies and IFRS.
  • Support all three North American manufacturing plants managers' accounting and analysis needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and tax filings.
  • Forecast and manage weekly cash flow forecast.
  • Develop, manage and coach the members of the regional accounting team.
  • Collaborate with the controllers in other regions to ensure consistency and alignment across the organization.
  • Manage the global intercompany team responsible for processing and reconciling intercompany sales, purchasing, and loan transactions.
  • Lead all month-end, quarter-end, half-year, and year-end close activities.
  • Identify and recommend areas for process improvement.
  • Work directly with operating teams to ensure accurate and timely inventory counts.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors and submit audit requests timely.
  • Partner with other business functions (e.g., finance, shared services, legal, tax, operations, HR, etc.) to address accounting-related issues and provide solutions that will be the best outcome for the business.


Qualifications



  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must have valid Driver's License
  • Five + years of progressive accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • CPA certification is required
  • Public accounting experience will be viewed favorably
  • Three + years of experience in a leadership role
  • Understanding of multicurrency transactions
  • Oracle R12 experience a plus
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
