About the team/role:

Are you a recognized thought leader and a transformative strategic revenue marketing architect with a passion for driving exponential growth in B2B markets? We're seeking a visionary Principal Strategic Revenue Marketing Manager to spearhead the demand generation and growth marketing strategy for WEX's Payzer business. This role demands a highly influential and forward-thinking approach, where you'll not only envision and champion high-impact initiatives but also define the long-term strategic direction for customer-centric revenue growth across direct and channel markets for Payzer. You will be the architect of compelling customer testimonial-driven campaigns, identifying and cultivating executive-level customer advocates, and translating their success into powerful market narratives that resonate at the highest levels. You will own the full-funnel pipeline strategy, driving significant and sustained year-over-year growth, and ensuring seamless alignment and synergy between marketing and sales. This role will also be responsible for leading and developing a Content and Social Marketing Manager and potentially other marketing professionals over time.

How you'll make an impact

  • Strategic Vision & Leadership (Direct & Channel): Define and champion the long-term strategic vision for demand generation across both direct and channel markets for Payzer, anticipating market trends and driving innovative approaches to pipeline acceleration and revenue generation.

  • Strategic Demand Generation Ownership (Direct & Channel): Architect and own the end-to-end demand generation strategy for both direct and channel markets for Payzer, driving significant pipeline growth and revenue generation.

  • Strategic Revenue Ownership: Architect and own the overarching revenue marketing strategy, driving significant pipeline growth and revenue generation.

  • Impactful Customer Advocacy: Define and lead the strategy for customer testimonial campaigns, transforming customer success into powerful market drivers.

  • Data-Driven Innovation: Leverage advanced analytics to optimize marketing performance and drive continuous improvement in customer journeys.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as a strategic partner to sales and product teams, influencing revenue strategies and driving alignment.

  • Strategic Demand Generation & Growth Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive demand generation and growth marketing strategies, driving measurable improvements in pipeline and revenue.

  • Customer Storytelling & Advocacy Leadership: Define and execute a strategic customer storytelling program, identifying, recruiting, interviewing, and producing high-impact customer testimonials.

  • Full-Funnel Pipeline Ownership & Optimization: Own and manage the marketing pipeline, driving year-over-year growth through strategic campaign development and execution.

  • Strategic Sales Enablement & Alignment: Develop and deliver strategic sales enablement resources, ensuring seamless alignment between marketing and sales efforts. Advanced Marketing Analytics & Reporting: Develop and leverage advanced analytics frameworks to measure campaign performance, analyze results, and drive data-driven optimization.

  • Customer Journey Optimization: Drive continuous optimization of marketing and customer journeys based on performance metrics and strategic customer insights.

  • Product/Service Disruption Communications: Develop and execute strategic communication plans during service disruptions, ensuring clear and timely updates to customers. Strategic

  • Event Planning & Execution: Lead the strategic planning and execution of sales and marketing events, maximizing ROI and driving lead generation.

  • Asset Creation oversight: Define the strategic need and oversee the creation of key marketing assets.

  • Team Leadership & Development: Manage and mentor a Content and Social Marketing Manager, fostering their professional growth and ensuring alignment with the overall demand generation strategy. Contribute to the development of broader marketing talent within the organization.

Experience You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field

  • 10+ years of progressive B2B marketing experience with a significant and demonstrable track record of driving substantial demand generation and revenue growth at a strategic level.

  • A history of developing and implementing innovative and impactful marketing strategies that have resulted in significant business outcomes.

  • Proven expertise in developing and executing complex, high-impact marketing campaigns. Demonstrated ability to develop and own strategic demand generation plans for both direct and channel sales models.

  • Deep understanding of demand generation, lead nurturing, and pipeline management strategies.

  • Advanced proficiency in marketing automation tools and CRM systems.

  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present to and influence executive audiences.

  • Proven ability to work independently and drive strategic initiatives.

  • Demonstrated success in identifying, recruiting, and producing high-impact customer testimonials, including cultivating relationships with executive-level customer advocates.

  • Exceptional strategic thinking and the ability to translate complex market dynamics and data into actionable, long-term revenue growth strategies.

  • Ability to influence and collaborate with executive level stakeholders.

  • A strong understanding of broader business strategy and the ability to align marketing initiatives with overall company objectives.

  • Experience contributing to the development of marketing best practices and standards

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
