Chief, Division of Palliative and Geriatric Medicine Department of Medicine Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) The Department of Medicine at CUIMC is seeking a Chief of the Division of Palliative and Geriatric Medicine to lead delivery of exceptional care and shaping the future of our programs. Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Medicine, the Chief of Palliative and Geriatric Medicine will hold a faculty position of Associate or Professor in the Applied Healthcare Track based on teaching, academic medicine, and scholarship experience. Qualified candidates will hold board certification in palliative medicine, geriatric medicine or both, have a minimum of 5-8 years of clinical experience in palliative or geriatric care, have a track record of academic scholarship and commitment to teaching, and proven leadership experience in healthcare management. Job Description: Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Medicine, the Chief of Palliative and Geriatric Medicine will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing our palliative care and geriatric services. This leadership position will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of patient care, promote innovation in the field, and contribute to the growth and success of our organization. This leader will be engaged in administrative leadership, and developing robust clinical and research programs. Key Responsibilities:
