The role
We are seeking a Product Director to lead the strategy and development of our Provider Coding product offerings from the ground up. This is a 01 opportunity for a driven, entrepreneurial product leader to define and execute the strategy for an AI-powered medical coding solution that will streamline workflows, improve accuracy, and drive business profitability. An ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial mindset, with experience in revenue cycle management, in particular provider coding (inpatient and outpatient), health data, and integrations. You will be responsible for architecting a medical coding product offering that supports both the manual coding workflow and streamlined, autonomous coding. You will work across internal and external stakeholders to establish a robust go-to-market strategy, define clear success metrics, and ensure sustained product viability. While standing up this offering, you will evaluate the build vs. buy strategy to inform the future direction. This role requires a balance of strategic vision, hands-on execution, and cross-functional leadership across engineering, operations, and commercial teams. Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end product strategy for a provider medical coding tool, defining vision, roadmap, and success metrics
- Evaluate build vs. buy strategies while developing a coding solution to enhance our existing service offering
- Drive 01 product development, from early concept validation through MVP launch, iteration, and scaling.
- Develop and execute a phased go-to-market strategy to ensure rapid testing, iteration, and adoption while maintaining high product quality.
- Collaborate closely with commercial teams to align product strategy with customer needs, market opportunities, and revenue goals.
- Bring operational product rigor-define clear success criteria, measurement frameworks, and execution plans to deliver impact.
- Be scrappy in navigating ambiguity, rapidly testing hypotheses, and executing efficiently with limited resources.
- Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, data science, operations, and design to build a world-class medical coding solution.
- Ensure compliance and regulatory alignment in a highly regulated healthcare environment.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of product management experience, including leadership roles with direct reports
- Proven experience launching and scaling of 01 B2B or SaaS solutions, preferably in healthcare technology, revenue cycle management, or AI automation
- Deep experience in evaluating build/buy/partner trade-offs and standing up multi-partner strategies
- Strong ability to execute quickly in ambiguous environments while ensuring long-term scalability and profitability
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action-able to work independently while bringing cross-functional teams along
- Ability to synthesize customer needs, market trends, and technical feasibility into a clear product strategy
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven approach to measuring success and optimizing performance
- Exceptional communication, storytelling and stakeholder management skills, influencing at all levers, both internally and externally
- Experience collaborating with commercial, sales, and customer success teams to drive adoption and revenue growth
