New York Life is looking for a Learning Experience Designer to join the Learning & Development Team. Are you an extraordinary communicator who can translate complex information into clear, concise and appealing content? New York Life's Learning & Development team is looking for an experienced, self-motivated designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a background in instructional design and training development. An ideal candidate is skilled at developing creative, modern, engaging and effective training solutions. You must also be an effective communicator and efficient program manager with the ability to handle multiple, competing priorities and coordinate work across teams.

What You'll Do:

  • Work backwards with business and program teams to maximize leaner experience (LX), over end-to-end of Analysis-Design-Development-Implement-Evaluation (ADDIE) cycle.
  • Measure learning impact and continuously up-level program qualities.
  • Monitor industry trends and apply best practices from outside and internal New York Life L&D communities.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to understand training needs.
  • Evaluate existing training to identify opportunities to maximize the effectiveness of learning, through re-design
  • Scope, design, and develop training that is both engaging and informative.
  • Supporting continual process improvement to ensure we are building high-quality, scalable programs for our audiences.
  • Leveraging technology to improve learners' access to knowledge and provide just-in-time learning.
  • Participating in a community of learning professionals to share best practices and identify emerging learning needs.

What You'll Bring

  • You have 3-5 years of experience developing industry-leading learning experiences.
  • You hold deep expertise in learning experience design practices, adult learning principles, and effective methods of applying those in learning content design.
  • Expertise with tools such as Articulate Rise, Vyond, Synthesia, LMS, and GenAI technologies.
  • You have experience in data-driven decision-making and prioritizing projects based on learner needs and business goals.
  • You have experience leading through influence and peer leadership.
  • You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and changing professional landscape.
  • You thrive in collaborative, fast-paced, environments and are innovative, creative, and like to experiment.
  • You have experience in stakeholder management, are a strong collaborator, and are skilled in project management

Nice To Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Adult Education, Instructional Design, Training and Development, Human Resource Development, Writing, or Visual Design or related field preferred.
  • Experience working on agile teams

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:$77,500-$101,000

Overtime eligible:Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible:Yes

Sales bonus eligible:No

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
