We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer for the 96th Cyberspace Test Group at Eglin AFB, FL. In this role you will provide systems engineering support as a technical advisor on the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) program.

JOB STATUS: Full-time

TRAVEL: 20%

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Masters Degree in a technical field and 10 years' experience
  • Current Secret Clearance with the Ability to Obtain Top Secret Clearance
  • US Citizenship Required
  • Knowledge of systems engineering principles and processes.
  • Experience in at least one of these skill areas: system software & scripting development, software programming, system analysis & design, software design & development, software integration & test.
  • Understanding of interfaces and working with Interface Control Documents (ICD).
  • Experience in networking principles (OSI network layers, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, HTTP).
  • Experience and technical understanding in multiple disciplines with the ability to look at problems and requests holistically and factor them against requirements.
  • Proficient in Office 365 products to include Word, Excel PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Experience with Agile software development practices

  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering languages (SysML/UML) and concepts

  • Understanding of the DoD Acquisition Lifecycle and development test and evaluation processes

  • Knowledge of Air Force C2 test methodologies, including AFI 99-103

  • Familiarity with system development lifecycle, architecture, configuration, and security methods

  • Understanding of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and system-of-systems environments

  • Knowledge of IT systems analysis and application software concepts, sufficient to evaluate emerging technologies

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide systems engineering support as a technical advisor on the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) program. Oversee all aspects of ABMS systems integration lab development.

  • Apply systems engineering knowledge in the implementation and delivery of Applications, Sensor Integration, and Effects Integration across operational and tactical levels via the Common BMC2 Interface.

  • Collaborate in an Agile, self-organizing cross-functional team. Conduct analyses across all levels of system products, including concept, design, integration and testing, installation, operation, and maintenance.

  • Assist in the configuration of interfaces and data exchanges for complex C4ISR systems.

  • Coordinate with System Program Offices, other military services, and development contractors.

  • Assist in the development of system requirements, performance measures, test phase entry/exit criteria, analysis of design constraints, and functional capabilities.

  • Conduct data analysis under the direction of engineering staff, supporting tasks including test and evaluation, logistics, sustainment, operations analysis, technical studies, and system security.

  • Support various phases of testing and evaluation to ensure the system is ready, compliant, and stable for use, in a military context.

  • Prepare, execute, review, and analyze test plans, procedures, metrics, and reports throughout the software development lifecycle. Develop methods of tests, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), test cases, objectives/procedures, and technical reports.
