Staff Associate I will require regular interaction with the PI. It is a full-time in-person work. Work will be given and experiments are expected to be done accurately and quickly. Results will be documented and shared with lab members. Staff Associate I will help with basic lab maintenance, planning, and performing experiments. Solo animal work will be required. a. Functional Knowledge The Staff Associate I will be maintaining animal work and other supporting experiments (molecular and cellular biology techniques) - 30% b. Problem Solving The Staff Associate I will utilize analytical skills to solve moderately complex problems to drive research aims forward - 30% c. Decision Making/Autonomy The Staff Associate I will manage time wisely when planning and conducting experiments, adapt to the needs of the project and work within guidelines to carry out assigned duties in the design of the apparatus, the adaptation of relevant technology to the needs of a project - 10% d. Technical Expertise The Staff Associate I will maintain and operate tissue culture, mouse work, and basic molecular techniques for data analysis and presentation - 20% e. Communication The Staff Associate I will share information and data with colleagues and supervisors. Strong organizational, good communication, interpersonal, and training skills for interacting with lab personnel - 10% Bachelor's degree in a specific research field.
