Job Description

SCOPE:

The Director of Global Supply Chain will lead development and execution of Sirtex's supply chain strategy, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with the company's global business objectives. This position is responsible for managing procurement, high level demand planning, inventory management, logistics, and supplier relationships to deliver exceptional value to the organization and its customers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global supply chain strategy to support business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Align supply chain goals with company objectives, focusing on cost reduction and ensuring on time delivery and customer satisfaction. Develop and monitor department KPI's that support this initiative.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects to optimize supply chain processes.
  • Build a culture of data driven decision making. Simplify the complex, presenting opportunities and risks to senior leadership and cross functionally.
  • Drive cost and/or process efficiencies across the Department, including processes, resources, purchasing/inventory

Planning / Scheduling:

  • Oversee weekly production planning to meet customer demand while minimizing material scrap costs.
  • Utilize demand forecasting models to minimize waste and reduce carrying costs.
  • Develop efficient planning systems that ensure high levels of customer service while minimizing associated overhead, freight and material costs.
  • Manage planning teams across global sites, working with regional manufacturing managers to establish weekly production plans.
  • Manage S&OP process, working with commercial teams to develop forecasts and align production with customer demand.

Purchasing:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to achieve optimal terms and conditions.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage raw material and finished good inventory levels at each site, optimizing to minimize overhead costs while ensuring availability.
  • Manage the manufacturing facility procurement team members to ensure site requirements are met.

Logistics:

  • Establish relationships, at a senior level, with freight forwarders, distributors and major airlines to ensure continued efficient shipping and delivery of products.
  • Oversee and manage the delivery of products from all manufacturing sites to customers along with the associated documentation.
  • From a global perspective, understand the shipping and logistics landscape so any significant changes are acted upon immediately to prevent any impact on the delivery of product.
  • Work with regional team members to optimize logistics costs and improve delivery performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field required. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain or operations management, with 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing global supply chain operations.
  • Experience working with Supply Chain teams in Asia is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement, logistics, inventory management, and production planning.
  • Process improvement and change management experience essential
  • Strong data processing skills with the ability to create clear and concise reports from large data sets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present plans clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to drive initiatives and influence cross functionally.

The target base salary range for this position will range from $207,000 to $230,000 annually.Individual compensation for this job requisition will be based on non-discriminatory factors, including your geographic location, skills, experience, education and other factors as they relate to the position requirements. Actual compensation may vary depending on the confirmed job-related skills and experience.

In addition to the expected base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in Sirtex's incentive programs (target bonus of 20% for this position)and benefit plans, which include paid sick and vacation time, health insurance and a generous 401k matching program.
