Job Overview:
As Global Supply Chain Leader at ARO, you will lead the procurement strategy and process execution to drive cost efficiency, supply chain resilience, and value creation for our organization. The position will oversee the implementation of i2V, PPV, LCE and NPD components across multi-site locations. The position will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, globally, providing their strong background in procurement processes, supplier relationship management, and program management. A successful candidate will thrive in a collaborative work environment, focused on seamless procurement operations, where their expertise will contribute to the financial performance of the organization's business goals and objectives.
Core Competencies:
- Strategic Procurement Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies in partnership with the IR global category teams that are aligned with ARO's goals, focusing supplier identification for cost reduction, risk mitigation, and value creation.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Create & maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, co-negotiate contracts and monitor, ensuring high-quality goods and services, favorable terms, and effective performance management.
- Program Management: Lead procurement programs from inception to completion, ensuring timely, within-scope, and budget-compliant delivery. Coordinate global cross-functional teams and manage project timelines.
- Forecasting Management: Organize and execute the forecasting process by ensuring timely bi-directional meetings and data flow (estimating future demand) with regional Demand & Sales teams and regional Supply, Planning & Buying teams. (Strongly preferred)
- Cost Management: Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities across the supply chain through market intelligence, supplier negotiations, organizing competitive product tear-down events, and strategic sourcing.
- Risk Management: Develop and deploy strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and other risks.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all procurement activities comply with policies, regulations, and ethical standards. Prepare and present reports on performance, savings, and strategic initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement within supply chain using data analytics and market trends to enhance processes and strategies.
- Supplier Performance Management: Develop or implement other IR SBU processes to review supplier performance based on KPIs such as PPM and OTD. Conduct regular assessments and audits, driving improvement programs for underperforming suppliers.
- New Product Launch Support: Collaborate with global suppliers and global cross-functional teams to ensure suppliers meet cost, timeliness, and quality standards for new product launches.
- Root Cause Analysis: Manage root cause analysis and corrective actions with high impact themes for supplier quality issues, ensuring effective resolution and continuous improvement.
- Analytical Problem Solving - Exhibits strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to interpret complex data and make informed decisions. Identifies potential problems, conducts root cause analysis, and leads the implementation of corrective action plans.
- Communication & Relationship Management: Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Works collaboratively with global cross-functional teams and manages relationships to ensure effective procurement processes and supplier partnerships.
- Global Supply Chain Acumen - Develops and executes global supply chain strategies, utilizing common tools to achieve optimal results in quality, delivery, cost, and service. Ensures compliance with corporate and governmental standards, leveraging knowledge of suppliers, industry trends, and emerging markets.
- Stakeholder & Contract Management: Demonstrates proficiency in planning, preparing for, and successfully negotiating contractual agreements that secure the supply base and minimize risk. Achieves favorable terms through strategic negotiation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and supplier capabilities.
- Ethical Standards: Upholds high ethical standards and a commitment to integrity and transparency in all procurement activities. Ensures that all actions and decisions align with the company's values and ethical guidelines.
Travel and Work Arrangement:
- This position is possibly a hybrid working arrangement, with up to 20% travel.
- The position is located near Charlotte / Mooresville, North Carolina
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field, with 6+ years in supply chain or supplier quality management. A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM) is preferred.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, supplier management systems, and data analytics (Such as Qlik). Strong understanding of contract law and procurement best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong project management skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, such as Oracle or JDE, is desired.
- Exposure to global operations.
