Cisco Meraki's IoT team is seeking a driven Hardware Engineering Co-op to join the Meraki Vision (MV) Hardware team. The MV product line is one of the most successful and fastest-growing cloud managed security cameras in the market.

As an engineering Co-op on the IoT hardware team your work will be focused around the future of Meraki's MV camera products. By joining our small team you will get hands-on experience with powerful imaging technology, learn to evaluate sophisticated products through tear downs and technical analysis, engage with extraordinary vendors, and get up-close exposure to the NPI development Processes and the JDM manufacturing model. Through these activities you will learn and practice skills required to work multi-functionally with a wide breadth of various hardware and software teams. You will scope and lead your own projects with a high level of autonomy under the mentorship of a close-knit engineering team

• System levels electrical architecture, common digital interfaces, schematic design, and board layout basics
• Bash and python scripting
• Camera and photography concepts such as shutter speed, aperture, ISO, White balance, etc.
• Analytic reporting and visual data representation

• Able to connect with others! you can converse and convey through your excellent communication skills
• Is studying towards BSc, MSc or equivalent certification in Engineering or related subject area

• Technical investigations on camera subsystems such as sensors, audio, and power circuitry that will guide future product development
• Software scripting to automate our powerful image quality lab and conduct tests alongside camera experts
• Standardization of test procedures for crucial camera hardware blocks
• Advising engineering and product leadership on driven approaches by conducting teardowns, technology deep dives, and BOM analysis
