Job Overview

The Lead Food Service team member will lead the Food Service staff in productions and/or cafe areas. Maintains the highest food quality, customer service excellence, cost control in conjunction with regulatory standard compliances. Oversees Food Services operations in the absence of direct managers. Assists in the day-to-day operations of all areas of the department, supporting cross-functional work teams.

Qualifications

  • EDUCATION - High School diploma or equivalent
  • EXPERIENCE - One (1) year of cooking, kitchen or grilling experience.
  • EQUIVALENCY - Three years of relevant work experience in lieu of High school diploma or equivalent

  • No direct patient care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.

  • Responsible for evaluating and monitoring the quality of Food Services procedures and provides day to day direction to other Food Services team members in aspects of service delivery
  • Responsible for cash handling, food service operations and providing customer service to team members and families
  • Operates all equipment properly, reports and places work orders as needed
  • Assists in overseeing sanitation and dish room operations for the department to provide a clean, safe, and regulatory compliant environment
  • Acts as a resource to team members for the services provided; being a positive role model; and assisting with the implementation of new procedures and/or equipment within the department.
  • May assist with leading the Room Service operations
  • May train new and existing kitchen staff on the preparation, arrangement and plating of dishes per the current menu.
  • May perform prep and cooking duties directly under the supervision of the Executive Chef.

Salary Information

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $41,885.10 to $62,827.65
Hourly Salary Range: $20.14 to $30.21
