Virginia Oncology Associates (VOA) is the largest group of medical professionals in Hampton Roads and Northeast North Carolina devoted exclusively to cancer care and blood disorders. Responsibilities
- Administer oral oncolytic medications and provide patient support.
- Oversee and lead a team of 19 staff members, including Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Oral Authorization Specialists.
- Secure and oversee insurance contracts.
- Conduct insurance audits.
- Prepare limited compounds tailored for cancer patients as required.
- Resolve issues and implement solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Must possess a current Pharmacist license in the state of Virginia
- At least 5 years experience as a registered pharmacist
- Prior supervisory/management experience preferred
- Oncology experience preferred
- PharmD preferred or equivalent experience
- Must be willing and able to travel to all VOA sites
