Zayo is seeking a Senior Manager, IT Financial Operationsto be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting related to the IT function. The Senior Manager, IT Financial Operations requires strong leadership skills, excellent financial acumen, and a deep understanding of IT operations and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with partners in Finance to manage the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the IT department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

  • Lead negotiations with software and hardware suppliers to ensure we have optimized cost models while enabling the business with the right technological tools.

  • Collaborate with IT leadership, Finance and business stakeholders to develop and implement financial strategies that support the organization's goals and objectives.

  • Analyze financial data, identify trends and variances, and provide actionable insights to drive cost optimization and operational efficiency.

  • Prepare and Consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

  • Develop and maintain robust financial controls, processes, and procedures to ensure data integrity and adherence to best practices.

  • Lead and mentor a team of finance and operational professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

  • Liaise with cross-functional teams, such as procurement, accounting, and project management, to ensure seamless integration and financial alignment.

  • Participate in strategic planning exercises, providing financial modeling and analysis to support decision-making processes.

  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies that may impact financial operations within the IT domain.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required; advanced degree (MBA, CPA) preferred.

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in finance operations, with at least four (4) years in a leadership role within the IT industry.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present insights effectively.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in financial systems, reporting tools, and data analysis software (e.g., ERP systems, business intelligence tools, Microsoft Office Tools).

  • Proven track record of driving process improvements, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Knowledge of relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and IT industry best practices.

Base Salary Range: $104,200 - $148,800 USD/annually, commensurate with experience.
