What You Will Do As a pivotal leader in our organization, you will spearhead moderately complex projects that carry a medium to high corporate priority. Your expertise will shine in key areas such as project management, establishing local project offices, defining project scope, identifying risks, and employing effective project methodologies. You will consistently maintain control over schedules, costs, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will also have the opportunity to present project updates and progress to management and clients, fostering strong relationships as you may manage vendor partnerships throughout installations. Your goal is to ensure projects are completed on time and within the defined scope. How You Will Do It
Methodology: Leverage your understanding of the Project Management Institute's (PMI) methodology and key knowledge areas, including Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Human Resources, Communications, Risk, and Procurement Management. Communication/Coordination: You will be the primary communicator, ensuring project staff, customers, and Johnson Controls management are kept informed of project statuses. You will lead project resources, assign duties, and provide technical advice and problem resolution across all project aspects. Fiscal Responsibility: Keep a close eye on project expenditures and installation progress, modifying schedules as needed. You will maintain full financial accountability and possess the foresight to project financial trends across your projects, integrating internal Johnson Controls and external client cost structures with AIA standards. Quality Assurance: Uphold the highest quality standards by conducting thorough inspections of worksites to ensure all workmanship aligns with Johnson Controls' required installation quality expectations. Customer Service: Provide tailored, professional support to all customers, ensuring timely follow-up on any concerns or issues that arise.
What We Look For Required
Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience of at least five years. Willingness to travel as needed. 5 years of Project Management experience, preferably in the security industry or new construction.
Preferred
Relevant certifications, or the ability to acquire certification within 6 months of employment in the position, such as CSPM (Certified Security Project Manager) or PMI PMP (Project Management Professional).
