General Summary Under direction, implement, support, tune, monitor, and document enterprise-wide desktop computing environments. Responsibilities & Duties
- Engineer and document enterprise endpoint processes encompassing a device's full lifecycle (procurement, deployment, active usage, retirement).
- Configure (Configuration Manager, Group Policy, Intune, Jamf), secure (BitLocker), and troubleshoot University computing environments, including physical devices (Dell, Microsoft) and virtual instances (Azure Virtual Desktop).
- Incorporate scripting technologies (PowerShell, Zsh) to automate repetitive tasks.
- Generate endpoint demographic reports for executive leadership as needed.
- Maintain the server and endpoint software accomplishing the above.
- Provide tertiary end-user support in conjunction with staff from support tiers one and two.
Experiential Requirements
- Has managed a computing environment with at least 500 Windows devices.
- Has deployed, configured, activated, and patched Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise.
- Has familiarity with endpoint patching technologies (Windows Update for Business, Configuration Manager software updates, Mac MDM commands).
- Has familiarity with querying Configuration Manager database views.

Additional Information
- Experience with higher education is preferred.
- Experience with managing hundreds of Macs or more is preferred.
- Ability to physically visit the University's Lincoln Park and Loop campuses is preferred.
- You may be required to work outside standard business hours, including nights and weekends.

The anticipated hiring range for this position is: $74,367.00 to $80,000.00 annually.
The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
