Position Summary

The Director of Clinical Placement is responsible for managing and coordinating clinical affairs administration efforts for the College of Nursing (CON). The selected candidate will need to have a high degree of proficiency and professional experience in:

  • Overseeing and managing clinical partnership agreements
  • Developing short- and long-range goals
  • Data management, reporting, and providing recommendations
  • Employee relations management
  • Participating in building and maintaining relationships with community and clinical partners
  • Managing staff in the coordination and interaction with internal and external customers

The individual will serve as the principal point of contact for our clinical partners and assist faculty in development, maintenance, and assignment of clinical placement for over 1,000 students (undergraduate and graduate) of the CON. Responsible for managing department specific outcomes and outreach, assisting with outcome monitoring, reporting and measurement, as well as development and management of all information into required databases.

This individual will prepare progress and other required reports for each program and will ensure compliance with University, State and Federal laws, policies, and regulations.

College of Nursing

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

  • Excellent communication skills to foster teamwork and community collaboration
  • Experience with the supervision of personnel including work allocation, training and evaluation of performance
  • Database and project management
  • Previous experience in data analysis and performance metrics
  • Previous experience as a liaison with clinical and community partners
