Are you an experienced HR professional looking to advance your career with a dynamic and growing company? BBSI is partnering with an exceptional third-party logistics company that's built a stellar reputation for customer care and operational excellence. Many of their clients have been with them since day one, and they're searching for an HR Manager to help maintain their people-first culture while supporting their rapid growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Department Oversight: Plan, organize, and control all activities of the HR department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Compensation Management: Implement and update the compensation program, conduct annual salary surveys, and analyze compensation data. Rewrite job descriptions and monitor the performance evaluation program, revising as necessary.
  • Policy Development: Develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures. Prepare and maintain an employee handbook outlining company policies.
  • Benefits Administration: Oversee benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, and approving invoices for payment. Reevaluate policies annually for cost-effectiveness and maintain cash flow and informational activities programs.
  • Safety Leadership: Act as the Safety Manager by developing safety policies, monitoring workplace safety incidents, and ensuring compliance with risk management policies. Manage the Safety Team, conduct monthly meetings, and investigate workers' compensation claims.
  • Recruitment: Write and place advertisements and collaborate with supervisors to screen and interview candidates.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of HR management experience in the logistics, distribution, or transportation industries.
  • Previous experience overseeing multiple locations
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and employee relations best practices.
  • Ability to travel locally to four locations.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.
