The Materials Management Specialist assists with the daily ordering, pulling, receiving, delivering, and replenishment of supplies in order to meet department and patient needs. Working under general supervision, this role sets the standard for maintaining par-levels of all patient linens by receiving, sorting, transporting, and distributing clean linen, maintaining inventory of linens, utilizing linen databases, and adhering to environmental and infection control standards. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm. |

- Assists with inventorying, reordering, pulling, restocking, rotating inventory, and checking the expiration dates of inventory in order to meet departmental needs.
- Inspects working and storage areas and ensures clean and orderly conditions.
- Removes non-functional equipment and supplies from service and reports problems to the proper department(s) for corrective action.
- Helps maintain data entry of inventory up-to-date, making changes or drafting corresponding paperwork as necessary.
- Ensures supply deliveries are complete and accurate and that the condition of the supplies are acceptable.
- Helps inform supervisor of equipment repair needs and ensures linen processing and transporting equipment is cleaned, maintained, tagged and repaired so as not to interrupt linen services.
- Assists with training and orienting new employees to departmental methodologies, concepts, and folding techniques.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: |
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent |
EXPERIENCE: |
Required: 3-4 years of experience including at least 2 years of Materials Management, Inventory, or service-related experience |
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: |
Required: Valid Driver's License (if driving a Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and motor vehicle record (MVR) must be approved by Risk Management) |
