Job Summary:

The Market Service Manager consults with market leaders and the accountable executive to ensure initiatives align with overall business strategy.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop capability roadmaps for assigned market through collaboration with market leaders, enterprise leaders and the accountable executive for assigned market strategy, influencing existing and planned capabilities
  • Works with the enterprise service managers to articulate market and strategic needs in terms of capabilities that support enterprise wide business decisions
  • Responsible for getting market and strategic needs for assigned markets into the planning process
  • Provide relevant insight to enable prioritization of capability roadmaps based on strategic and market needs
  • Collaborate with enterprise service managers and business solutions managers on ensuring the proper prioritization of market initiatives and operational work across the company
  • Collaborate with finance, enterprise architecture and capacity planning teams to develop annual budgets for the lifecycle of assigned products
  • Develop business cases for new investments partnering with service managers and business solutions managers to ensure robust output
  • Create shared vision of assigned products within the market areas and facilitate decision making relating to trade-offs both within and between different markets and enterprise
  • Partner with accountable executive for assigned market strategy to develop and implement sound rationale for product entry/exit to/from markets, proactively anticipating gaps and overlaps within the markets
  • Collaborate with enterprise and solution architecture as well as business solution managers, service managers and health partner operations teams to ensure roadmap alignment with the strategic plan
  • Participate in strategic planning processes ensuring investment supports both the company's business strategy and enterprise architecture
  • Understand the competitive landscape
  • Perform any other job related instructions, as requested

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business or other related field or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required, Master of Business Administration (MBA) is preferred
  • Five (5) or more years of progressive responsibility managing product or market deliverables
  • Minimum of three (3) years of people, project or technical leadership experience with proven demonstrated responsibility for development and implementation of strategic plans is required
  • Experience developing relationships with and ensuring the appropriate participation of key client stakeholders
  • Experience in developing strategic roadmaps is required
  • Experience working in a fast paced, matrixed environment

  • Ability to see the enterprise perspective, ensuring that initiatives meet business priorities and objectives;
  • Understand the overarching business model as well as the intricacies and nuances of the functional business areas
  • Identifies and acts on opportunities for continuous improvement;
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt in a regulated environment;
  • Ability to maintain flexibility while leading innovation and organizational change;
  • Encourages and facilitates cooperation and results orientation;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Project, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel

Licensure and Certification:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required or ability to achieve certification(s) within 9 months of hire and recertification every three years thereafter is required.

Working Conditions:

  • General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Some travel to fulfill duties of position

Compensation Range:
$92,300.00 - $161,600.00 CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate's education, training, and experience as well as the position's scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level.
