Senior Engineering Manager

As a Senior Engineering Manager for FTSE Russell (part of LSEG), you will be involved in engineering a team of developers build scalable platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing solutions for business problems that involve complex User Interfaces, data intensive operations and process hand-offs.

• Lead global engineering teams skilled in varied technologies and applications- Front End Applications built on Angular, Back-end Applications built on SQL Server/Sybase, AWS Solutions
• Architect and implement solutions for migrating/rewriting legacy Silverlight applications to modern Angular frameworks.
• Drive the integration of Business Process Management (BPM) engines with UI solutions to automate workflows and processes.
• Strong experience on AWS Services - SNS, SQS, Glue etc.
• Oversee cloud-native application development, ensuring seamless deployment and scaling on cloud platforms on AWS
• Design and develop microservices architectures and integrate API gateways to support dynamic, scalable interactions between UIs and backend services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product management, UX/UI, DevOps) to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Establish and maintain coding standards, best practices, and modern development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps, CI/CD).
• Ensure high-quality and secure delivery of software through automated testing, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines.
• Mentor, guide, and grow the engineering team, ensuring technical excellence and fostering a culture of innovation.

Required Qualifications:

• 15+ proven experience leading and managing engineering teams, particularly in the development of modern web applications interfacing with multiple applications

• Hands-on engineering experience with proven ability in E2E Delivery - strategy, execution and delivery

• Deep knowledge of microservices architecture, API gateways, and the integration of UIs with scalable backend systems.
• Extensive hands-on experience on multiple and modern technologies - Angular, SQL Server, AWS Services
• Familiarity with modern technologies and frameworks, such as Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in fast-paced environments with complex technical challenges.
• Experience in API management and gateway solutions to ensure secure and efficient service communication.
