Position Title: Japanese Bilingual Associate Cybersecurity Consultant
Location: Irvine, CA
Status: Exempt
Overview:
A global cybersecurity firm is seeking a highly motivated and inquisitive Cybersecurity Consultant (Associate Level). In this role, you will play a critical part in helping various client organizations enhance their cybersecurity posture by conducting in-depth research, developing insightful reports, and delivering high-quality consulting services. The main duties include research and analysis, pre-sales support, delivery and project management.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Research & Analysis:
* Conduct in-depth research on the latest advancements in information security and cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
* Analyze industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory compliance requirements.
* Contribute significantly to the development of high-quality consulting reports, white papers, and presentations.
Client Engagement (Pre-sales support and delivery):
* Actively participate in the creation and presentation of compelling consulting proposals to prospective clients.
* Design and administer comprehensive security assessments and questionnaires.
* Analyze gathered data, generate insightful summary reports, and identify areas for improvement.
* Evaluate security risks and compliance across various frameworks (industry-standard, proprietary, and our own methodologies).
* Develop and present actionable security improvement plans.
* Effectively participate in internal and client-facing meetings, documenting meeting minutes accurately.
Project Management:
* Collaborate with project leaders in managing project timelines, monitoring progress, and coordinating project meetings.
* Author comprehensive security-related documentation for clients, including policies, procedures, and strategic security roadmaps.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
* Minimum of three years of professional experience in IT service provider fields.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
* Primarily an office-based role with occasional travel required.
* Fluency in both written and spoken English and Japanese is essential.
Require one of the following domains:
* Solid understanding of IT Strategy Planning and its intersection with security, including risk assessments, threat modeling, and security roadmapping;
* Experience with Software Development methodologies and security best practices within the SDLC (e.g., secure coding practices, vulnerability assessments); or
* Knowledge of System Integration principles and how they impact security within complex IT environments.

The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
