Precise Systems is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to facilitate the process of full life cycle accounts payable activities for our office in Reston, Virginia
Hybrid/Remote 3 days per week and 2 days in office, in Reston, Virginia
Duties:


  • Reconcile corporate credit cards transactions monthly. This entails reviewing invoices and backup for completeness, entering the invoices into CostPoint accounting system, and following up with cardholders regarding unreconciled items
  • Facilitate the successful processing of the full-cycle Accounts Payable function to include the receipt and review of invoices, routing for approvals, coding and recording in the accounting system, and filing (electronic)
  • Ensure activities accomplished to meet monthly and year-end close deadlines. Assist with the resolution of vendor and customer inquiries
  • Review travel expense reports in Concur for accuracy and assist employees with questions related to the company travel policies and the accounting system. Knowledge of Concur software, travel rules and regulations for Government Contractors is a plus
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Education:


  • High School Diploma or GED


Required Experience:


  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a Government Contracting environment working with Accounts Payable is required
  • Experience with Deltek CostPoint and/or Concur are a plus.
  • Proficiency using accounting software and MS Suite products
  • Positive, customer-service focus with the ability to actively listen, elicit information, comprehend customer issues/needs, and recommend solutions
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, follow-through on projects from conception to completion, and complete work accurately and timely with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated initiative/self-motivation, eagerness to learn, and attention-to-detail
  • Flexible and willing to adjust to the needs and priorities of a growing business

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $50,824.32 to $76,236.48 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
