Job Summary

Vomela is a growing company with hyper growth in the IT organization. An increased focus on strategic technology initiatives both big and small and a need to establish project plans and work with portfolio owners to execute projects.

The Information Technology Project Manager will create and manage project plans with direction from the portfolio leader and will serve as a liaison between the business and technical aspects of assigned projects. Responsible for rolling up project status to the VP of IT for an enterprise view of initiatives and status.

What You'll Do...

  • Creates and manages project plans in cooperation with Portfolio leaders.
  • Manages assigned IT projects to ensure adherence to schedule, and scope of project.
  • Develops, maintains, and revises proposals for assigned projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, timelines, funding, and staffing.
  • Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed.
  • Establishes and implements project communication plans, providing status updates to affected staff and stakeholders.
  • Collects, analyzes, and summarizes information and trends as needed to prepare project status reports.
  • Join the team with project management specific software knowledge.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Available to travel ~ 10%

What You'll Bring...

Required Experience:

  • ERP implementation planning experience
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of project management principles and planning.
  • Thorough understanding of information technology procedures and practices - ITIL. ITSM, SDLC
  • Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and the industry.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to motivate business and IT professional for successful project outcome.

Preferred Experience:

  • ERP project management
  • Software Development projects w/GitHub or DevOps
  • Microsoft Project experience -
  • Program/project roll-up experience wholistic IT view of projects
  • Experience in Infrastructure and/or Applications, both is preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer or Information Science-related field required.
  • At least three years of related experience required.
