Staffmark has partnered with a leading piping systems manufacturer in Myrtle Beach, SC, to hire a Wastewater Operator. Join a fantastic team that values your ideas, appreciates your contributions, and supports your career growth!

Schedule: 7 AM - 3 PM, Monday to Friday

Pay rate: $25 - $29/hr.

Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Physical/Chemical Wastewater "D" certification.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.


Responsibilities:



  • Ensure workplace safety is a top priority and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Operate wastewater pretreatment systems to ensure uninterrupted and efficient operations.
  • Monitor and adjust equipment and chemical compositions to meet established guidelines.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on systems like belt presses, blowers, pumps, and piping.
  • Collect and analyze samples of raw waste, effluent, and stormwater while maintaining detailed knowledge of process streams.
  • Maintain plant cleanliness, manage tools and consumables, and complete maintenance records and operating logs.
  • Communicate equipment and system status to the HR Manager and ensure cost-effective wastewater treatment operations.
