Purpose of Job This casual position is responsible for carrying out programs and treatment, or portions thereof, as planned with a Physical Therapist. Job Functions
- Performs treatment, documents care, and discharges client cases according to RMC and professional standards.
- Provides current and quality treatment, utilizing Ridgeview and professional resources to promote continued quality care.
- Communicates with patient, health care providers, insurer and others to ensure that patient needs are addressed.
- Exhibits working knowledge of hours of operation, customer base, department operations, visit procedures and chart audit procedures.
- Understands and uses reimbursement and regulatory guidelines for care and environment.
- Understands and uses patient and agency operations followingHome Healthpolicy and guidelines.
- Provides professional and courteous customer service to internal and external customers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education/Work Experience
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from APTA accredited program
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to work independently and organize tasks
- Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions
- Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
- Ability to exhibit flexibility, self-control and maturity in work and behavior
- Ability to promoteHome Healthservices
- Ability to flex schedule with or without prior notification in order to meet customer needs
- Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner
- Knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations
- Ability to work autonomously and as a team
- Capable of making independent decisions with the use of good critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
License/Certifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, valid in Minnesota
- Current Healthcare Provider CPR Certification
- Valid MN driver's license, car insurance, and meets Ridgeview's insurabilityrequirements
