Position: Class A Yard Hostler Near location: Stockton, CA Shifts Available: Sunday to Tuesday or Thursday to Saturday Alternating Wednesday every other week Day Shift 5:00pm to 5:00am 12 hour shifts Pay rate: $27.00 Per hour Over-time after 8 hours Class A Hostler Duties: Yard hostlers will drive and maneuver yard goat & trailers from dock to dock switching out empty trailers with full trailers to keep production moving. Safety is always the key, so driver must be safety minded, perform pre and post trips daily, chock rear wheels Be aware of safety hazards in all weather conditions, and check trailers before pulling away from the dock doors. Ability to work in fast paced environment within a VERY tight yard Driver must have strong communication skills as they will be interacting and taking direction from dispatchers, or warehouse managers on a consistent basis through radio and on board computer system.
