Overview:
A global industry controls/ factory automation (FA) engineering company is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales and Applications Engineer. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving customer engagement, developing innovative automation solutions, and exceeding sales targets. You will work closely with customers, internal teams, and industry-leading technologies to deliver exceptional results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Sales & Customer Engagement:
* Actively prospect and qualify potential customers.
* Conduct in-depth needs assessments to understand customer requirements.
* Develop and deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations.
* Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
* Collaborate effectively to resolve technical challenges.
Proposal & Quotation Development:
* Create compelling proposals and accurate quotations that effectively communicate value propositions.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness of proposed solutions.
Solution Development & Innovation:
* Leverage expertise in robotics, AMRs, conveyors, and other automation technologies to develop creative and customized solutions.
* Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
* Drive innovation through creative problem-solving and technical expertise.
Collaboration & Teamwork:
* Foster strong relationships with sales, engineering, and management teams.
* Align sales efforts with company objectives and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience in a relevant field. Strong passion for automation is essential.
* 5+ years of industry experience leading applications and projects in the automotive factory automation sector. Proven track record in sales, customer interaction, and proposal development.
* Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., Inventor, SolidWorks).
* Experience with simulation software (e.g., SolidWorks, Motosim, RoboDK, Roboguide) is a plus.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
