Children's National Hospital in Washington D.C. has an open Pediatric Ophthalmology Fellowship Position for its one-year training program.

The Pediatric Ophthalmology Fellowship Program is an Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology (AUPO) Fellowship Certification Committee (FCC) one-year certified program leading to membership in the American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus (AAPOS) membership.

The training program is for physicians who have completed their ophthalmology residency training at an ACGME-accredited institution.

Qualifications

Prerequisite for training:



  • Must have completed an Ophthalmology Residency.
  • Must provide a letter of recommendation from the residency program director or chairman.
  • Must have completed medical school in the U.S. or Canada or be ECFMG certified if an international medical graduate and have completed the USMLE Parts 1,2 and 3.
  • Must be successfully able to obtain a District of Columbia unrestricted medical license prior to starting fellowship training.
  • Must have successfully passed all three steps of the USMLE.
