Staffmark is looking for a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our team in Carson, CA. If you have a strong background in manufacturing and maintenance, we want to hear from you!

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift

The Industrial Mechanic is responsible for understanding and operating the full process of the Waste Water Treatment Plant, as well as repairing and servicing tools and equipment such as torches, grinders, hoses, and gauges. Basic knowledge of welding and torch cutting equipment is required, along with the ability to operate lathe, drill press, and cutting/punch machinery. The role includes maintaining forklift and man-lift operations, as well as managing plant facilities, including lights, compressors, critical systems, and alarms. Additionally, the Industrial Mechanic is responsible for inspecting and servicing air compressors, video cameras, sandblast systems, boilers, and heat exchangers. This position also involves managing hazardous waste and ensuring compliance with related regulations, while performing preventative maintenance on cranes, conveyors, forklifts, compressors, pumps, and other equipment.

Qualifications:



  • Minimum 24 months of experience in the manufacturing industry and fluency in English
  • Ability to perform job duties satisfactorily and comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Adhere to OSHA regulations and participate in safety programs, including Injury Illness Prevention, Lockout/Tagout, and Fire Prevention
  • Comply with hazardous waste handling and DOT training
  • Ability to work with hazardous materials and respond to spills
  • Required PPE: Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Protective Clothing, Gloves, Steel Toe Shoes
  • Additional PPE: Ear Plugs, Safety Shield, and Cutting Goggles as needed
  • Physical Requirements: Standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating machinery like forklifts and man-lifts
