As an Assembler, under general supervision of the Operations Supervisor, you will assemble a variety of sub-assemblies and perform bench or floor erection to complete units.

You Will:

  • Assemble a variety of products while ensuring parts fit within close tolerances.
  • Handle light to average weight parts effectively.

  • Use hand and power tools proficiently.

  • Select appropriate assembly methods and erection procedures.

  • Align sub-assemblies to units.

  • Mount and connect auxiliary mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, or hydraulic equipment.

  • Follow specific rules or patterns for assembly order.

  • Make decisions within defined parameters.

  • Identify and solve routine problems.

  • May assist in training or checking the work of peers.

You Have:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

  • 1+ years of related experience.

  • Understanding of Kanban principles and ability to use Kanban cards for reordering parts.

  • Mechanical inclination and aptitude.

This is a union position, and the starting hourly rate is $25.40; top rate for position is $27.91 which will be achieved by end of 1 year of service as long as job performance is meets expectations or above.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
