Nurse Aide

In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out the daily routine of individualized care plans, assisting individuals with activities of daily living, personal care needs, rehabilitative activities, and maintaining individuals' living areas. You will be tasked to observe and report changes in individuals' physical condition and behavior and document daily care performed. You will have the opportunity to participate in on-the-job, in-service, and formal training in nursing care procedures to update and maintain non-professional nursing care expertise. Nursing duties are of limited scope and are performed in accordance with established regulations, rules, care plans, and specific instructions. While routine work is expected to be performed independently, all other work is performed under close supervision of a licensed professional supervisor who reviews work through reports, inspections, and observations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment (8 hours per day; 80-hours biweekly)
• Work hours are 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch.
• Rotating Schedule. Work every other weekend.
• Overtime as needed.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry; or
• Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents.

Special Requirement:

• This position is assigned to a long-term or specialized care facility and requires active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.

Additional Requirement:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
