Staffmark is excited to collaborate with a premier innovator in flow measurement technology to identify an experienced and driven Estimator and Planner for their Cranston, Rhode Island team. Serving vital industries such as wastewater management, oil and gas, power generation, and automotive manufacturing, they are committed to excellence in engineering and production. Salary: $90,000 +

Schedule: 7am - 3pm, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:



  • Interpret customer drawings, specifications, and requirements for formed, welded, and machined components.
  • Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to ensure cost estimates align with design intent.
  • Develop, source, and price materials, labor steps and rates, testing, and services.
  • Utilize software such as Excel and Shoptech E2 ERP to generate accurate cost estimates for the sales team.
  • Update cost estimates and labor steps as needed for bids or manufacturing release, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Maintain detailed and organized records of cost estimates and associated documentation while enhancing proficiency with Shoptech E2.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors to support accurate and efficient pricing.


Qualifications:



  • Over 10 years of proven experience in cost estimation and planning within metals fabrication, including expertise with lathes, mills, welding, and various materials such as stainless steel, carbon, and alloys.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of traditional and advanced metals fabrication techniques, as well as testing and services like anodizing, painting, PMI, weld NDE, and pressure testing.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation tools, including Excel (critical) and Shoptech E2 ERP (training available), with familiarity in CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks being advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, with exceptional problem-solving and math skills.
  • A passion for learning, innovation, and contributing to maintaining an industry-leading position.
