Job Description

Join the College of Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources (CAFNR) at the University of Missouri as our Brand Manager!

Help us highlight the unique academic, research and outreach programs that define CAFNR. Integrate the CAFNR vision with Mizzou's iconic black-and-gold identity, ensuring consistent yet tailored messaging and design across all platforms. Thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment where every day brings new opportunities. This role reports to the director of the CAFNR Office of Marketing and Communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Processes: Streamline creative services and manage marketing communications projects.
  • Internal Expert and Consultant: Provide expertise to enhance communication strategies, strengthen brand identity and uphold quality standards.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate relationships with faculty, leadership and staff to develop and evaluate communication strategies.
  • Content Design and Production: Create or oversee design and production of engaging content for electronic and print distribution, including posters, one pagers, newsletters, brochures, giveaways, advertisements, emails and social media. Manage relationships with external vendors and freelancers.
  • Newsletter Oversight: Oversee the content and design of college-level email newsletters for various audiences.
  • Event Marketing: Assist with the communications and marketing of college-level events.
  • Digital Display Management: Manage the digital display system and provide relevant templates to stakeholders.
  • Environmental Signage Consultation: Advise on environmental signage needs and ensure compliance with university standards.
  • As with all positions, involvement with other duties and responsibilities may be expected in order to support the mission and purpose of the University of Missouri.
Shift

Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in graphic design, communications, or a related field.

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in print and digital design, project oversight and brand management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and other industry-standard software.
  • Creative Expertise: Demonstrated creativity in designing email newsletters, social media assets, environmental branding, and high-end print production.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines and work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including vendors and designers.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $21.28 - $28.85 hourly ($44,262.40 - $60,000 annually).

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
